I shopped for a no name battery (to save $) but did not feel comfortable with them. Most use an exta little cable due to JVC chipset in the camera that is not needed with this battery. Battery is charged right on the camera like the original. I like that simplicity. I bought this for a vacation and while I did not use the camcorder endlessly I used it frequently through the course of the day. I never got a low bat indication so I’d say it lived up to its claims. It’s the middle size which isn’t obtrusive in any way though the bigger size might be in some situations- such as your camera case is a snug fit already. Also I just carry it in my pocket which is not particularly comfy but it is convenient. The bigger battery may have been a bit too much for that.

I needed a second backup battery for my JVC GZ-HD7 system. Pretty quick charge via the camera AC adapter, holds the charge when dormant for a long time and reliable when recording. It does not get anywhere near the advertised recording time of 2.5 hours. It gets about one hour with LCD display and about 10 minutes more using the view finder. I seldom use the view finder unless the lighting is not good. Having two batteries is a good deal though. I’d buy the JVC AC charger but the price is outrageously priced.

So far, as expected. I have only got to use the battery once. Quick charge time, have taken about 1 hour of video, has been on standby for about 2 weeks, and has 2/3 charge remaining. I can only hope that it continues to function this well. Batteries do not perform well in the heat, but this one has outperformed all the others I’ve used in the past. Again, I hope the great performance continues.

This case is specifically designed for the Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS Digital Elph Camera (esp. the blue one). It protects the camera with a well made leather case enclosure. The product flat closes with a small magnet, this allows the flap to come open if you are backpacking, or do a lot of bending over. I use a used rubber band around the case and it works just fine.

I got one for my G9, and is exactly like the one shipped with the camera. May be little pricey, but it will serve you right for years to come. From what I heard, the generic batteries, although lot cheaper, have shorter life and even design problems meaning they will poorly fit in the battery compartment of your camera. And is made in japan!

Bought this as a backup battery for my canon G9 camera. In the past I have always bought the cheapest off-brand batteries at eBay or Amazon as backup for my cameras and never had a problem with any of them. They were for emergencies only and worked great until I could get back to the hotel and charge the "GOOD" battery. But in this case the camera was much better than I normally would buy so I "splurged". The canon battery was still more than $20.00 cheaper in retail price than at the local store and the no tax and shipping made it still cheaper. I am still a fan of much cheaper off-brands though.

The Nikon SC-29 flash cord,although pricey, is a necessary addition to off camera flash attachments. Having looked at other cheaply made cords, with there flimsy attachments, I was convinced that the extra money would be better spent on the stronger construction of the SC-29. In addition, since I am using a non Nikon speedlight, I wanted a cord which would allow usage of my Sigma flash in both ttl and non ttl applications. The SC-29 has a nifty little switch which allows this to happen.On my Nikon D80 it has performed outstandingly with my non dedicated flash.

I was looking for a way to connect my SB600 Flash to my Nikon to avoid redeye and harsh light. This little attachment worked great. I set my flash on a collapsible strobe frame for my Nikon and shot away. I am not a professional, all I know is what works. This works for me.

With its aisles and aisles of colored vials, the world of perfume can perplex someone who does not know her way around. As daunting as exploring perfumes and fragrances may seem, any newcomer can pick up a basic knowledge of the taxonomy of perfumes, which will help her choose the one that best suits her.
Traditionally each and every perfume is put into to a specific group or family. These families all more or less reduce to six different categories of fragrance, floral or sweet, sporty or clean, green or natural, musk, woody or chypre, and oriental or spicy. Every person’s taste in fragrance varies. Some people like a specific family, and some people like them all.
The only thing that is certain about fragrance preference is that it can chance with time. As a girl matures into a woman, her tastes in fragrance will likely mature as well. A young woman who is enthusiastic about the sparkling smell of floral perfumes may gradually grow to like the more powerful, deeper scent of woody or even musk perfumes.
Floral or sweet fragrances are the most popular category of fragrance. They get their dominant smell from one or several flowers. A perfume whose aroma is made up of only one flower is called a soliflore. Floral fragrances have a light, playful quality to them, and are for a woman who likes to have a lighthearted air. They conjure images of carefree spring time, or can be bubbly and enthusiastic.
Some noteworthy examples of floral fragrance are Chanel No. 22, Estee Lauder Pleasures and White Lineny, L’Air Du Temps by Nina Ricci, and Joy by Jean Patou.
Sporty or clean fragrances are named for their freshness, a quality that roughly akin to the smell of a warm shower or a good soap. These fragrances are found most often in eau de colognes. Given their refreshing nature, women who are active or athletic may find sporty fragrances appealing. Some classic sporty fragrances are Estee Lauder Alliage, Lily Chic by Escada, Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren Polo for Women and Tommy Girl.
The natural or green perfume family is so named for the homey, natural smells it provides. Think of pine forests or oceanside walks and you come close to the aroma of a natural perfume. If these sorts of activities inspire you, perhaps you would like a natural fragrance. Examples of natural perfumes are Burrberry London, Calvin Klein Truth for Women, Poison by Christian Diro, and True Star by Tommy Hilfiger.
Musk fragrances are strongly suggestive and sexy. They are powerful and meant for the women who is through playing games and knows what she wants, or for the sort of wordless communication that is so effective between lovers and would-be lovers. Musk fragrances give off the strongest aroma of all the fragrance families. They are derived from the male musk deer from the Himalayas, muskrats, and musk oxen. Common musk perfumes are O Oui by Lancome, Shalimar by Guerlain, L’Aminant by Coty, and Dolce & Gabbana for Women.
Chypre or woody perfumes are sometimes also referred to as earthy. This family is made up of fragrances which contain bergamot, jasmine and oakmoss. Woody fragrances can be described as a mixture of the flavors of custard and apricot, and seem to suit the woman who sports birkenstocks. Popular examples of chypre and woody perfumes are Chanel No. 19; Envy Me by Gucci, Paloma Picasso Perfume, and Romance by Ralph Lauren.
Oriental or spicy is used to describe the last perfume family. These perfumes, which can also be called ambers, are made up of animal scents and vanilla combined with wood and flowers, or both. Oriental fragrances are spicy and exotic, and stand apart, and so are perfect for the woman who can stand on her own two feet with confidence. Some popular perfumes that are in the oriental family are Emeraude by Coty, Estee Lauder Youth Dew, Lancome’s Magic Noir and Tresor, and Opium by Yves Saint Laurent.

It works with my macbook! I was a little concerned when I first tried to install the software. I did not think it was going to work. iMovie recognized the files straight from the camera though.
1) Plug the camera into the electrical socket
2) Make the camera switch set to "play video"
3) Choose the "printer/PC" option on the camera’s screen
4) Launch iMovie, it recognizes the camera!
I did not end up even needing to install the software it came with. (ImageMixer 3 SE or the Digital Video Solution Disk Ver.30.0)
I realize this isn’t really a review about the camera itself, but I was stumped for a few minutes on how to use the software on my mac… which it turns out I did not need to.
The camera itself seems to be working great so far …. but I only just got it today. Clear picture and audio. So far so good.

This is exactly what we were looking for. We were tired of mechanical camcorders that eventually break down and tapes that fail. The Canon is small, lightweight, and the battery lasts a long time. I added a second 8GB memory chip and we have hours of video between dumps to my computer. I haven’t tried editing the video files yet and will add that review later.

I bought this as a replacement for my Sony MiniDV camcorder. The video quality is roughly the same using the default settings. However, because I can adjust many more settings on this, I end up shooting better video than I could have with the Sony.
I also like the smaller size (you have to see this to believe it) and the flash memory (no moving parts equals faster response and longer battery life).
I mostly use the camcorder for filming my kids and then uploading it for my parents to watch (they live overseas). It’s perfect for that. I download the video to my MacBook Pro, edit in iMovie 08, and then publish to my MobileMe Gallery. It’s a very fast and easy process.
Oh, and finally, I loved the price! All this for only $385.00.
I’ve owned this camcorder for 6 weeks and taken quite a few hours of video and so far can’t think of anything I don’t like about it.

First of all let me state that i spent 2 weeks researching camcorders before buying this one. Many mixed reviews on many different sites.
What sold me on it was the fact that there’s no tapes, dvd’s, or other moving mechanisms to wear out, other than the zoom. No moving parts means batteries last longer. The mic input was a big plus as well as being compact.
Upon arrival i was amazed at the size and weight. After trying it out there were a few downsides that could be fixed.
1.The biggy for me was no lens threads for adding filters for effects or for keeping mist and dust off the lens while shooting. I found a few universal lens adapters but the were too bulky for the cameras small frame. I decided to try something. The barrel of the lens measured at 34mm so i found a 34mm to 37mm silver metal step up ring on ebay for $2. Now i used hot glue on the threads of the step ring and quickly placed it into cameras the barrel. Fit perfectly and looks as if it was always there and if i want to remove it, why, who knows, the glue will just peel off the inside of the barrel leaving no marks. Now i can attach uv filters, wide angle lenses…etc.
2. No hot shoe. Ebay once again…found a cold shoe handle that attaches to the camera and gives me a place to attach a led spotlight and an external mic…cost-under $15
3. $80 for a replacement battery?!? You gotta like China. You can get exact knockoffs that work just as good as the original with a wall charger for $15 - ebay
4. Kind of grainy in low light. First of all it’s not a night vision camera so you should have some sort of light source to begin with. Even in Hollywood they use lighting. Think people before you complain! Attached a led spotlight and it does the trick for me.
5. Saves as an .mod file but pc or editor won’t recognize it. There’s a free program called sdcopy that converts the files to usable/editable files in seconds.
Outdoor video is awesome! Bright, crisp colors. Indoor is great as well with the right lighting. This camera is great! Battery life is incredible! I fit 2 hours of footage in the highest quality filming mode on a 4 gig card. Footage is easy to edit and looks great on dvd. I highly recommend it! The only reason i didn’t give it a perfect score was i had to invent a lens adapter…but it can be done quick and easy!

I ordered my camera just before I left for France. It came 4 days before I left so I had very little time to figure out how to use it. It was a snap. The videos are clear except in low light. The zoom is great. And the still pictures were better than my digital camera. I love the camera. I haven’t had time to use the software to make a CD so I can’t rate that.
